The National Agency for standardization, metrology and quality management was born form the merger of the Benin Agency for standardization and Quality Management (ABeNOR) on the Benin Agency for metrology and Quality Control (ABMCQ).
Created by decree No2017-031 of January 23, 2017; NAM is a state Office governed by the law article No 94- 09 of July 28, 1994 on the creation, attribution and operation of Offices of a social, cultural and scientific nature. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry in charge of industry.
MISSION & VISION
The National Agency for standardization, metrology and Quality Control (ANM) is responsible for the implementation and monitoring – evaluation of the national policy for standardization, metrology, certification, product verification and promotion of quality.
It assists the actors in charge of the production of goods and services to face the challenges of competitiveness, sustainable economic growth, the protection of consumers and all other interested parties, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Benin and to intentionally accepted quality standards.
